I was with his group in January and can honestly say that ceremony at Chavin was the peak experience of my life thus far... after more integration I'm sure I'll be one of those who take the pilgrimage again, but am very tempted to do some solo work in the meanwhile. You battle with this warrior. You even imagine that the small You is the counter voice, although the Warrior creates that voice for the entertainment of the small you. But these are great movies to watch! Break out the popcorn baby and enjoy! Fuckin a, we're lucky aren't we?!!! I've got to tell you something which came from a recent exercise I've been engaged in. On day one we were to set the intention for the whole program. I'm searching through the dusty files of my mind...love, kindness, compassion, non-judgement. But from nowhere comes...Drumroll. Contentment. To be content. Naturally the backstory is what do I have to not be content with? A happy home, good health, a supporting family, some really cool friends (like my KitKat), beautiful world to soak up and play in. Clouds and birds and flowers. Even stinky trash in New York City when I visit is an experience to absorb! So yeah. Naturally. What I want from this is to be content. The second part was, "And what inner feeling will come from this intention?" And instantly was the answer. Joy. I'll be joyful. I'll have joy. I almost started crying I was so happy about that! And the last part was, "So what do you need to do to manifest this feeling?" and just as quickly came that answer. To act joyfully. I was like a kid on candy overload for 3 days. I actually referred to being filled with the Holy Spirit (which even now smacks of some psudeo religious thing. Now back to your blog. That making the cell phone ring thing. This goes back to a dream I had while I was much younger and struggling with the start of a divorce and my daughter (who is now 30) was just a baby. The dream was long and I'll have to share the whole comedy/drama with you sometime, but the basics are that there was this preacher and to the congregation he was asking, "If God could say something to you what would it be?" Instantly I knew the answer and held up my hand. There was great frustration in the dream because he didn't see me until I blurted out something which got his attention. But when he came to me and said, "OK young man, what is it God would say to you?" I easily answered him--SIMPLIFY. That was 34 years ago by the way, before the term was as popular as it is now.
