One day soon, zee books will dance across shelves far and wide.  I’m working to push past my resistance to the Writer’s Destiny, and as I do, a couple of opuses have been in the works:

Novel #1 – Angels and Mirrors

100% complete, edited, with cover art and a marketing plan.  She’s ready to rock and roll, yet the publishing deal fell through and we’re back to square one.  Only the future knows.

Angels and Mirrors is an existential novel about the shackles of victimhood. The fervently paced epic stars Isabella Moore, a heart-focused wild child deeply immersed in escapism. After a fateful acid trip on the top of an LA parking structure, she unlocks to the door to a flood of brutal childhood memories, previously repressed for two decades. As the awakening of who she is and what she has known unravels, a scathing decision illuminates: she must choose between finding her power and accepting the abuse as a gift, or succumbing to the possibilities and tumbling into a suicidal spiral

Angels and Mirrors is about redefining what truth and memory really mean, and accepting the notion that control is an illusion. It’s about the most frightening elements of self-discovery, and the ability to see everything we have in our lives as a self-manifested gift. It’s one woman’s whirlwind struggle with understanding and owning horrendous images that may or may not have transpired, and learning to love life regardless of her perception of reality — or to give up and self-destruct.

Novel #2 – The Secrets of the Universe

Very much a work in progress.

Lovingly dubbed a Fictional Memoir, The Secrets of the Universe unravels the mysteries of modern day shamanism.  The story follows Kat (I know, I’m obvious on this one), a corporate-climbing big city hot shot who lands in the Amazon, partakes in sacred shamanic ceremonies, and goes headfirst into a full scale existential crisis.  Secrets won’t just illuminate the profundity of shamanic ceremonies and revelations, but also the aftermath of a woman catapulted into her very own spiritual awakening.  Dozens of enthenogenic visions, encounters with an Enlightened Master, and a chance meeting with a bona fide Soulmate scratch the surface.  This is an all-out spiritual epic.
